SLC WEEK 9

 ¡Hola todos!

This week has been absolutely one of the best weeks on my mission so far. Granted I only have 8 though haha, but we saw tons of miracles and had some strange experiences as well.

First off we had Mafe's baptism!!! She was so ready and she already has her temple recommend to go to the temple with us soon. She also has part of her family tree done so she will take a family name to do baptisms with us! I'm so glad I got to be a part of helping her take that first step towards the covenant path. And we are hoping the rest of her family will choose to be baptized soon!

Next we put our friend David on date to be baptized on the 28th of November. He is awesome and we are hoping he stays on date for then so he can come to the temple with us soon!

We also had a huge miracle this Sunday. We found 2 new people to start teaching and they are both golden. They came to church and one of them gave their testimony for his first time during sacrament meeting. And the other has apparently been going to the English ward since July with his girlfriends family. So they should be getting baptized pretty quick.

On top of that this guy named Chad (he totally looks like a Chad too) brought 2 people to church! We talked to them and one lives outside the mission so the missionaries in the other mission will start teaching her. And the other guy is from Venezuela and is here trying to find a gringa to marry and to get his pilots license in the US. He was super interested in coming to our activities and meeting with us. And I had a similar experience as the guy last week where he was so surprised I speak this well in a few months. Especially since that's all he's been trying to do is learn English these past 3 months he's been here.

Also we had 2 wack experiences that were kinda cool about following the spirit.

The first one we were at this apartment complex and we prayed to know where we should go to find the elect. Elder Atilano felt we needed to find the "white rabbit" and Elder Boone had a number come to his mind. So we went to that door and the room next door had Latinos. She looked white and their family is from Venezuela. She didn't seem super interested, but as we were walking away I felt we should go back to find the "white rabbit." So we turned back and we saw 2 Latinos ysa age walking right there. We wouldn't have met them if we didn't turn back for the "white rabbit." So we will see what happens with them haha

But if wasn't crazy enough the next day in the same apartment complex we had an even weirder experience. We prayed to know where we should go and Elder Atilano felt we should go somewhere with "food" and to "be like a child" and Elder Boone felt patience and I felt we needed to be close by, but not stay where we were. So we were really confused if it was the Spirit or us just being dumb. So we went to the holiday gas station just down the street that has the clown as the logo. We prayed again in the parking lot of the gas station and I felt "donuts" and the others felt this is where we needed to be. So we went inside by the donuts and waited for about 20 seconds and a group of 8 Brazilians came inside. We talked to them and they seemed pretty interested and we took their number for the Portuguese sisters in our mission. Apparently this was a huge answer to their prayers because they have been struggling to find people who speak Portuguese.

So I learned the Lord answers our prayers in ways we don't usually think. The Lord has a plan for us and we just have to follow the Spirit even if it's not what we expect.

This week has just been absolutely insane. I love the gospel. I love the people here. I love the work and the opportunity I have to see miracles everyday. God wants to help us and I know we just have to ask and follow His guidance.

Love,
Elder Randall

(Sorry didn't take too many pictures this week, but this week was awesome)
