SLC WEEK 2

 Hola!

This week has absolutely flown because we have been busy with a ton of lessons and finding new people to teach. A lot has happened this week again and we have seen many miracles throughout the week. We have 5 people that we are so close to being baptized and on date to be baptized so we have been working hard with them to help them get on the covenant path.

Also I forgot to mention last week, but the scenery here is absolutely beautiful. The mountains on both the west and east sides of the valley are incredible. We were also able to do another hike to see the draper temple this week with my district and the view is amazing. It's also rained quite a bit here this past 2 weeks and so it's been starting to get chilly here which I'm not too excited for so I might have to start to layer up a bit.

This week me and Elder Whitman got a new companion since he is leaving in like 2 weeks. And it's Elder Boone! He's from Gilbert and he lived in Morrison Ranch which was about a mile away from my house. We also played football together in junior high and so it's crazy out of all the missionaries he was put into our companionship.

We also had the opportunity to go back to temple Square again this week. But this time we were able to go to the conference center. It was way bigger than I thought and it was super cool to see for the first time. We were also able to take a recent convert that had just been baptized which was fun to see her reaction to it.

There was also a carnival this past Saturday in Sandy so we went and were able to make a few contacts and find some people there that need English classes. There was also a cultural celebration thingy in draper Park so we were able to find a few Latinos there and see some cultural dances so it was pretty cool. We also got some SpongeBob popsicles which was cool.

Overall it's been a ton of fun and it's been absolutely the best. The latino people from all over are absolutely amazing and the missionaries here are hardworking and are so fun to be around. I can't wait to see what this week brings!

Also here's a great scripture I love:
Alma 37:37
"Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day."

I love this scripture because it's a reminder to pray every morning and night and to give thanks to God each day. I invite you all to pray each morning and night and to put God first in you life!

Love,
Elder Randall
