¡Hola todos!
This week was one of our most successful weeks yet. We saw a ton of miracles and the hand of the Lord in the work. Definitely one of my favorite weeks!
Our friend Eduardo was baptized and confirmed a member of the church this Wednesday. He was more than ready and he is such an amazing guy. His family wasn't very interested, but they came to the baptism. But we have been fasting and praying with him for them so hopefully they will have some interest soon. He has really connected with the ward and will be an awesome member and we are hoping to take him to the temple soon to do some family names with him this December!
We were able to go again to temple Square with 2 members of our ward and our friends Eduardo who was baptized on Sunday, and Elias who is being baptized this Saturday! It was super cool to help them start their family trees so they can take names to the temple soon and to go see all the cool things at the Conference Center. The Temple is still under construction and it's crazy they are working and getting it done pretty quickly. We're super blessed to have the opportunity to take people there and help them understand and set up their family history.
Thursday was Thanksgiving so we had dinner with someone in our wards family. They are Dominican so it was a ton of fun and they made some really good food. We had the normal Thanksgiving dinner food, but they added a rice dish that actually made it even better. Latinos are super good cooks
We were walking in these apartments right after a lesson with Eduardo on Saturday and we saw a moving truck. And we of course helped them out. Turns out it was a group of Latinos moving in and so it was a milagro. But they had these 2 couches and a few heavy dressers that needed to be moved from the truck to the 4th floor. And we had to put the couches over the edge to get them to fit up the stairs. But we got it done. One of the guys asked how we knew they needed help so we talked about the Spirit and how it guided us to them. Then we invited him to church. But he couldn't make it this week because he is still moving in but he said he can make it next week so we'll see. Latinos are super flaky haha
So this week we had 1 person baptized, 3 people on date to be baptized (2 within the next two weeks), 6 people at church, and we found 3 new to start teaching. Which is insane for this area, it was definitely the hand of the Lord guiding us throughout this week as we tried our best to let the Spirit guide us. It was a great way to end my 2nd transfer of the mission. It's crazy I have already been out for 3 months
Also I found out I will be staying in this area with Elder Boone and Atilano for this next transfer! We were super nervous that one of us was going to leave, but turns out the rumors were wrong and I get to stay for Christmas season in this ward!! I love the work and the people here. There's so many people who the Lord has led here for us to teach its insane. Our Heavenly Father truly does love all of us and wants us to return back to Him.
Love,
