SLC WEEK 29

 Hola yall!

This week was pretty shnaggy. But we had a lot happen this week.

I got to see one of my good friends from the beginning of my mission. Eduardo and Jose are two people me, Elder Boone, and Elder Atilano taught for a while. They never were baptized because they work like crazy and dont have papers to get a great job and take Sundays off. It was awesome to see him again and I was glad to hear they are still reading the Book of Mormon! Jose (the older guy) has already read it once through. And has even been reading daily while using the historical timelines and dates to understand it even more. But if everyone could pray for them that everything can go well with their papers this Tuesday that would be great.

We also did 2 exchanges with English this week. On Tuesday our zone leader came to our area and he doesn't know Spanish at all haha. Everyone we taught kept making fun of him and talking to him in their broken English. It was kinda funny to be the one who can actually understand. Then I went to an English area and had one of the most boring days on the mission. I'm sorry if your serving in English and reading this, but I can say Spanish is mejor. But there are still a lot of cool people you meet, but they just don't give you the same energy as Latinos haha

On Sunday I gave my first talk in Spanish. I'm proud of myself because I only had written down points and talked about it. But teaching has become a lot easier as I have been out on the mission. I'm still not a great teacher but mejorando cada día.

So we found a bunch of new people to start teaching this week. 2 seem super elect and are super cool. The others I'm not quite sure yet and we still need to visit them more before we can really tell. But I hope all of them can progress and eventually get in the water to be baptized.

Also we are teaching this guy Fausto. He is a really cool guy and is working to be baptized but still has some doubts. He has been taught for 3 years and is super super close to baptism but just won't get in the water :,( but he is close. If everyone could pray for him to receive an answer of the spirit and recognize it that would be super helpful.

Overall great week. Better than the last and we have been really busy lately with people who are progressing. We only have one more week left in this transfer and I hope I stay with my companions Elder Schmidt and Santos. I really love this area and I hope I stay, but you never know.

But hope your week is super chevere!

Love,
Elder Randall
